ABOUT
Cathryne Czubek is an award-winning director and producer known for emotionally rich, visually polished stories and for capturing powerful moments from anyone on the other side of the lens. Her work spans documentaries and branded content, blending substance with style in ways that feel both cinematic and grounded. She gravitates toward storytelling with heart, humor, and complexity.
She directed two acclaimed feature documentaries: A Girl and a Gun (First Run Features), which premiered at DOC NYC and later streamed on Netflix, and Once Upon a Time in Uganda (Drafthouse Films), a New York Times Critics’ Pick and multi-award-winning festival favorite about Uganda’s gonzo DIY action filmmakers. Her digital series Screw You Cancer for Condé Nast Entertainment earned a Television Academy Honor for social impact — the first digital series ever to receive the award.
Cathryne is the founder of Salted Media, and co-founder of Wonderview Studios, a creative studio focused on immersive storytelling and cinematic experiences.
